All three branches of The YMCA of Greater Williamson County (Round Rock, Taylor and Cedar Park) will join more than 1,700 YMCAs nationwide by participating in the 19th annual YMCA Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 17 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. While this FREE event will be held on site at the YMCA branch locations in both Round Rock and Cedar Park, Taylor’s event will be held at Taylor Regional Park, which is located at 201 North Carlos G. Parker Blvd. in Taylor.

An opportunity for kids and families to “Put Play in Their Day,” Healthy Kids Day uses fun, engaging and creative activities to encourage children and families to adopt behaviors that support a healthy lifestyle. By offering everything from games to inflatables to various outdoor activities, safety demonstrations, health screenings, food, fun and more, each branch is able help remind members of the Williamson County community that they too can be a part of the solution toward building healthier lifestyles for themselves and everyone around them by strengthening bonds, building positive values, spending time together, improving the health and well-being of their families and making friends for life. So, mark your calendars and plan on joining us! For more information, stop by the Member Services Desk of your local YMCA of Greater Williamson County today. YMCA Healthy Kids Day is sponsored locally by St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center.

HELP SEND A KID TO CAMP THIS SUMMER

Each year thousands of children throughout our community experience the wonderful opportunities that summer camp has to offer. Unfortunately, there are also many children who never get that opportunity. Summer camp for kids is one of the most important things that the YMCA offers and we want to make sure that all kids have a chance to attend camp regardless of their ability to pay. Each year, the YMCA of Greater Williamson County through its Strong Kids Campaign raises money to provide scholarships for families who wish to participate in YMCA programs but do not have the means necessary to do so. Camp Twin Lakes wants to join in that effort and would like to ask for your help in raising funds for our "Send a Kid to Camp" Campaign so that no child has to miss the opportunity to experience something special and exciting. Please join us and make a difference in the lives of children throughout our community. Download the Pledge Form below to make your contribution today!
