STRONG KIDS CAMPAIGN
The Strong Kids Campaign is central to the YMCA mission and critical to carrying out our vision of building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. By giving, you can help make sure that every boy and girl as well as their family can participate in life-enriching programs through the YMCA - regardless of their ability to pay. Every dollar you contribute makes a meaningful difference in the lives of families we serve and helps us give kids the power of values, so that they can grow up to become productive adults. One hundred percent of every dollar goes directly to children and families in need based on income, family size and economic circumstance. By pledging your gift and paying it throughout the year, you can assist more children. Contributions may be made by check, American Express, Discover, VISA or MasterCard. Final payment on your pledge need not be made until December 31, and the YMCA's Financial Development Office can send you monthly or quarterly reminders to fulfill your pledge.
Program Impact
Strong kids grow up to be productive adults. That's why it's important to give meaningful direction to kids from every social and cultural stratum. They need a sense of belonging, positive role models and motivation in an atmosphere that's safe and inviting. Kids get all that and more at the YMCA of Greater Williamson County.
The programs at the YMCA teach our kids to embrace the values of caring, faith, honesty, respect and responsibility. These values are so simple, yet they have the power to guide each kid throughout his or her life. By encouraging these essential values, YMCA programs can prevent negative influences from taking our kids down the wrong path. These programs give kids from every neighborhood throughout our community the foundation they need to make the right decisions about their lives.
The recreational and interactive programs at the YMCA attract families of all kinds. These programs foster positive interaction, and the instruction they offer helps keep kids focused on a promising future. When school is not in session, idle time is filled with educational enrichment and other fun activities that contribute to a child's physical and mental well-being.
Our policy also delivers programs that meet the needs of our diverse community. Each YMCA branch serves different neighborhoods with different populations. Therefore, no two branches in our association are exactly alike. Each branch is as unique as the neighborhoods it serves.
To continue these programs, we need your help. By giving to our Strong Kids Campaign, you can help make sure that every boy and girl and their family can participate in our life-enriching programs – regardless of their ability to pay. With your generous gift, you can help us give kids the power of values, so that they can grow up strong and become productive adults.
Financial Assistance
Financial assistance is based on ability to pay. It is the policy of the YMCA of Greater Williamson County that no person be denied membership or program participation by reason of inability to pay fees. Funds made available for financial assistance are provided through the YMCA's annual Strong Kids Campaign and the United Way. It has always been our policy not to deny services because of an inability to pay for them. We do, however, expect people to pay what they can afford, usually on a sliding-scale basis. Every year hundreds of children are included in YMCA programs because of Strong Kids campaigns. The YMCA of Greater Williamson County is exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the YMCA of Greater Williamson County are deductible in the manner and to the extent of the law.
Recognition Levels
The YMCA of Greater Williamson County recognizes and appreciates all gifts to the Strong Kids Campaign, regardless of their size. Individuals, businesses and other organizations that make annual contributions of $1,000 to $4,999 are recognized as President's Club Members. Donors of $5,000 and up are recognized at the Chairman's Circle level.
All members of the President's Club and Chairman's Circle receive an attractive memento for display in their home or office and are recognized at an Annual Dinner that is held each fall. President's Club and Chairman's Circle members are also listed in the YMCA of Greater Williamson County Annual Report. Regardless of the size of your gift, all gifts enable the YMCA to enrich and expand its ongoing work with young people and families throughout Williamson County.
