AFTERSCHOOL 2010-2011 REGISTRATION

The time is now to get prepared for the 2010-2011 school year by registering for YMCA Afterschool! Designed to ensure safety for children (grades K-5) while promoting healthy physical and emotion growth, helping working families and inspiring children to learn, the YMCA Afterschool Program strives to assist each child reach their full potential by offering a positive and enriching environment that encourages the development of character, leadership and cooperative spirit. YMCA Afterschool, which runs on weekdays from the time that school ends until 6:30 p.m., is also offered at convenient sites in Round Rock, Leander, Pflugerville, Taylor, Hutto, Liberty Hill and Thrall ISDs. Registration for the 2010-2011 academic year is in full swing, so hurry and sign up today!

YOUTH SPORTS REGISTRATION

It always seems like time flies by with today’s hectic schedules, but we don’t want you and your kids to miss the next season of YMCA Youth Sports at the YMCA of Greater Williamson County. The following are the registration dates for the next two seasons:

MURPHY PARK SWIM LESSONS

Summer is in full swing and there’s never been a better time to sign up for Summer Swim Lessons at Murphy Park in Taylor! Open registration for swim lessons is ongoing. WATER FITNESS CLASSES

Are you tired of your same old workout routine? Do you need a change of pace and get out of the gym? How about taking to the pool for some Water Fitness? That’s right … Water Fitness Classes are back for the summer at the Taylor Family YMCA. Try your hand at our Water Boot Camp (held at Robinson Park Pool) or General Water Fitness (held at either Murphy Park or Robinson Park pools) programs this summer as new sessions are offered regularly. TAX FREE DAY OUT

The state’s back-to-school tax free weekend (Aug. 20-21) is coming and the Taylor Family YMCA has what you and the kids need to take advantage of the savings with our Tax Free Day Out! On Saturday, Aug. 21, you can drop the kids (ages six weeks to 13) off with us for an exciting day of fun activities from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., while you hit the stores to get the kids ready for the new school year. Cost, which includes lunch, is only $20 per child for YMCA Members and $30 per child for Non-Members. What’s not to like? Stop by the Member Services Desk today for more information and to register.
